The heat is on as presidential hopefuls are emerging for the ruling New Patriotic Party. It barely 6 months since Akufo-Addo won a second bid for his second term as president and already his party members are declaring their ambitions.
This is no surprise as in 2024 the New Patriotic Party has to project a new face to stand for elections. Many anticipate a tight race as many are showing interests. Posters of different candidates are out with those of Alan Kyerematen and Bawumia being the dominant ones. On Ekosii Sen today, Thursday, March 18, 2021, Sammy Gyamfi shared his thoughts on the early fight for flagbearer ship among the NPP.
“His posters are not even beautiful. They are not bright at all. I am surprised that that he will do that. It smacks of desperation. He desperately wants to be president. By now Bawumia should be thinking about the economy that he has messed up.
He should be thinking about a way to fix it. What will remain of the economy in 2014 if not fixed well. The presidential race of the NPP is one of the easiest. I doubt the chances of Bawumia. He looks desperate” Sammy Gyamfi said.
On talks about Joshua Alabi’s posters also on the market to contest the NDC flagbearer ship, Sammy Gyamfi noted that the posters are not real and should be disregarded.
What do you make of the Sammy Gyamfi’s comments? Who stands a chance to emerge as the flagbearer for the NPP in 2024? Can Bawumia survive the competition?
