Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, is bereaved following the death of his Mother, Charity Boya Abdulai. She reportedly died around 11:30PM yesterday at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
"It is with deep regret that i inform you that my Mum; Madam Charity Boya Abdulai passed away this morning in Accra," the lawmaker announced on Facebook a while ago alongside family photos of himself, the deceased and his siblings.
Madam Charity Boya Abdulai was also nurtured Dr. Hassan Ayariga, founder of the All People's Congress. The politician also took to Facebook announced the death, calling the deceased his mum and saying that she left without saying good bye."Rest in Perfect peace mummy, you left us yesterday at 11:30pm at 37 military hospital without saying Good bye. Farewell mummy," Dr. Ayariga wrote on Facebook alongside a black and white family photo of the Ayarigas.
Madam Charity Boya Abdulai was married to Frank Asumah Abdulai Ayariga who himself was a politician and served as the first Member of Parliament for Bawku. Details of her funeral arrangement are scanty but preparations are believed to be underway for her to be buried in accordance with Islamic tradition.
