John Dramani Mahama has spoken about some events that need to be remembered in the country. These are events that the Ndc claim the Npp might try their best to make sure Ghanaians forget but shouldn’t be allowed. The 2020 elections brought a lot of issues to this country. Among these issues were death from gunshots at polling stations, injuries and many other unfortunate situations.
Mahama and his team in the Ndc were seen sending messages to people who were injured and suffered death. We have seen in many elections that people lose their lives because of their inability to follow certain principles or abide by the law. They do things that are contrary to what the law has stated and this is what lands them in the trouble they find themselves. The new patriotic party claim they had no hand in the many incidents they’re being accused of.
They claim the security service were only doing their work as expected of them and were never instructing anyone to do anything that was violent. The Ayawaso west election was one of the elections that suffered a lot of violence leading the injuries and many other serious issues. Mahama claims this is not an event to forget.
He said this as he paid visits to the affected persons of the ayawaso incidents and was sorry for people who lost something valuable in the course of this disturbance. People were incapacitated and others were in very bad consisting that did not affect them alone but their entire families. Mahama visited them and encouraged them to thrive in these bad situations and that no situation is permanent.
Though he was not in a state of making promises, you could see that the people were assured of a change if he is given a chance to become president and this could be seen in the way he spoke to them. This post bellow was made to social media after his visit.
