The internationally renowned evangelist known as Benny Hinn, in a special ministers' conference that was held in 2018 in one of the auditoriums of the Christ Embassy in Ghana, poured out a powerful prayer for His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In a video sighted on Sunrise TV, the popular evangelist prayed to God to place the president in His way and time. He went on to ask God to fill Nana Addo with his Holy Spirit and direct his path in everything that he does.
Needless to say, to be the leader of a country requires special grace from above, in order to be able to take the right decisions that will benefit the people at all times. In the Bible, kings were anointed by God before they could lead His people, because leadership is not an easy task. God himself is the ultimate leader, and so to be a human leader is like performing one of the duties of God. For that reason, every leader needs the Holy Spirit's direction to be able to succeed.
In the Bible, Great Kings like David and Hezekiah always sought the face of God in whatever they did, and they became the greatest kings among all the king's that ruled Israel. It was therefore in order for the popular evangelist to pray for God's direction for the our president.
He further prayed for God's wisdom for the president. To be a leader one needs wisdom, the wisdom of God. And the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, so he prayed also that the president would fear and revere God in every move he makes as president and as a person. According to the Holy Bible, when God told King Solomon to ask for what he desired, he asked God to grant him wisdom to be able to lead God's people. God gave him so much wisdom that other kings travelled from far just to come and behold the display of his wisdom. God also added abundant riches to it. With the wisdom of God, one can achieve the unthinkable.
No wonder His Excellency Nana Addo has been praised by the international community for how tactfully he handled the Covid-19 situation in the country. Ghana has been among the countries that have been commended for well handling of the pandemic. Clearly, this couldn't have come from man. That was the wisdom of God at play.
Evangelist Benny Hinn went on to implore the Almighty God to reveal himself to the president. "Reveal yourself to him day and night in the name of Jesus. Let this nation be the lighthouse of Africa", he prayed. He then went on to thank the Lord for establishing his declarations in the Heavens.
The great evangelist then went on to declare the people of Ghana for God Almighty. He declared that Ghana belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, and that nothing that the enemy plans against the nation shall prosper. "I tell you now, Satan, you will never have Ghana. You will never have the people of Ghana. You will never have the future of Ghana. It belongs to Jesus and his Kingdom", he declared.
Indeed the nation Ghana is for the Lord Almighty, and the president has received the wisdom and guidance of God, and for that matter it is on its way to greatness. Nothing the devil will orchestrate against this great nation and its people shall come to fruition. Ghana and its people shall prevail in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
