Allotey Jacobs Criticizes NPP For Failing To Avert Booing Against President Akufo-Addo

God forbid that the <a class=NDC ever returns to power – Allotey Jacobs | Pulse Ghana"/>

A former member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Benard Allotey Jacobs has asked the ruling New Patriotic Party to do all they can to protect President Akufo-Addo

His advice comes in the wake of the recent booing the president was subjected to at a musical concert held in Accra.

He says he is alarmed that the President could be embarrassed in the manner that the youth did.

He criticized the NPP for failing to avert the incident even when they had Intel that such a thing was going to happen.

"Your leader is always your leader. You should ensure any path he charts is clear. What he (President) said was full of wisdom and hope...

They should be conscious of themselves that though it's left with two years for the President to end his tenure, once he is the leader of the party, he needs the protection of every party member. For the party, your leader is more important than anything else", advised.

President Akufo-Addo was jeered when he mounted the stage to speak at the Global Citizens Festival held at the Black Star Square on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

He also accused the opposition NDC for orchestrating the booing, explaining that they planted their party members in the crowd to embarrass the President.

"You would realize that some bloggers have been organized behind the scene just to take pictures and then make noise about it and that is propaganda" he said on Peace FM.
