A pressure group by the name ‘Arise Ghana’ recently held a press conference to have the state of the country under the leadership of the NPP government addressed.
It is believed that, political parties like CPP, NDC, GCPP, Drivers Union and some other associated entities all joined hands in this course to address the Press on many issues they think is sinking down the country.
Arise Ghana touched on the Achimota Forest issue and what they are asking for is an extensive probe into the Achimota Forest saga, calling on the law making house of the country to cut away the Agyapa Deal as well.
The movement further admitted to Parliament to ensure the reduction of fuel prices in the country and deal drastically with the controversial E-levy initiative.
Mensah Thompson who has been unhappy with the current situation in the country said it is surprising Ghanaians and the press are watching President Akufo-Addo and his government cause havoc to properties of the state.
He further called on the people of Ghana to join one of the biggest demonstration which is about to hit the country, that is on June 21st.
According to him, the purpose of this demonstration is to mount pressure on the government of Ghana to have hardships reduced in the country. In a sarcastic manner, he called on women to come and demonstrate naked against the government for the government see how serious they are and improve the state of the country.
