Today marks the day that the citizens of Ghana take a moment to observe a day associated with the former president of the Republic of Ghana for his massive role in the freedom and development of Ghana.
Although Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is a born and bred Ghanaian, he has captured the hearts of most Africans as per his determination to make not only Ghana, but the whole of Africa free from colonisation.
The people of Africa has identified with him on the basis that he has wished for the freedom of all Africans. He was a man of ambition and his acts throughout the whole of Africa speaks of him.
As Ghanaians celebrate the day of the first president of Ghana, Netizens could not hide their joy about the hero of Ghana and Africa as a whole, and has therefore released throwback pictures of him on social media networks, especially Twitter. The pictures feature his wife and daughter, other close associates and even Queen Elizabeth of the England. This shows how fond Netizens are of the former president of the Republic of Ghana.
