"We will not permit them"- Kwabenya Traditional Council gives 3 day ultimatum to government on LGBTQ

The Musuku chief of Kwabenya Tradional Council, Nii Mensah Dza Nyomo, in the Ga East Municipality has given three day ultimatum to government to come out clear on government position regarding LGBTQI matters in the country. The government is given up to Thursday to deliver a speech on the matter.

According to the Traditional Council, they have written a long petition to government to express their strong resentment against LGBTQI movement on Kwabenya land. After Thursday, 25th February 2021, if the government still remains silent on the matter, the chief will deploy his energetic youth across the entire Kwabenya land to fish out any person suspected to belong to the LGBTQI movement.

The Musuku chief of Kwabenya defends his position on moral grounds. According to him, it is against God's divine moral laws for mankind to choose a wrong sexual orientation.

Mr Mensah further asserted that, "the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were burnt down to Ashes with fire and brimstone by God Almighty for this kind of immoral acts".

The Kwabenya traditional council is disallowing all gays, lesbians, bisexuals, trangenders and queers (LGBTQI) from operating on Kwabenya stool land.

Mr Nii Mensah believes that the LGBTQI concept is not in harmony with all the three religious groups in Ghana. It also violates our distinct cultural values.
