Sammy Gyamfi Pleads To President Nana Akufo Addo To Pardon Akuapem Poloo

The private legal practitioner,Sammy Gyamfi has however, described the three month jailed sentenced to the actress Rosemond Brown by the Greater Accra circuit court as 'harsh'. Sammy Gyamfi in a social media reacting to the court verdict indicted that the court should considered certain circumstances before passing the final judgment on the lady. Furthermore, Sammy Gyamfi who is the National Communication Officer for the opposition party (NDC) has therefore appealed to the President of Ghana, his excellency Nana Akufo Addo to pardon Rosemond Brown.

"The sentenced given to Akuapem poloo is very harsh and high handed. Given the fact that she is the first offender,pleaded guilty and show remorse, non custodial sentence would have been appropriate. So sad! I pray Nana Akufo Addo remits her sentence or pardons her (Akuapem poloo). The Communication Officer Wrote on his social media Facebook page.

The judge Christian Cann at the Greater Accra circuit court however, convicted Rosemond Brown who is also or popularly known as Akuapem poloo on a three count of domestic violence, publication of obscene material and miademeanor.

On the 16th of Friday 2021, the court sentence her to a three month jail with the judge charging her to reform by using the experience. However, on the other hand her lawyer Andy Vortia has filed an instant plead to purposely have the sentenced reduced. Lawyer Andy Vortia therefore told the media that the decision by the court must be reviewed because the Judgment is harsh.
