The Member of Parliament for the Awutu Semya East constituency, Honorable Hawa Koomson, who doubles as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, has finally chosen the person who she believes is the best bet for flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party. Her endorsement came as a shock to Ghanaians considering the risks that comes along with endorsing a candidate who has a 50-50 chance of winning.
Automatically, Hawa Koomson has chosen the camp she wants to be under so that perhaps, she will be amongst the few who grab juicy appointments. She made that endorsements at the inauguration of the Kasoa Bulk Power Supply on Wednesday. Hawa Koomson endorsed Bawumia as the "soon to be President of Ghana".
Truth be told, if endorsements were the only criteria to decide the winners of an election, then Bawumia can be announced as the clear winner of the NPP presidential primaries. Who do you root for to be the NPP flagbearer ahead of the 2024 election?
