The member of parliament for Dome Kwabenya constituency, Honorable Sarah Adwoa Sarfo's letter to the president has started making waves on the internet.
It could be recalled that President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo terminated the appointment of Sarah Adwoa Sarfo as the minister of Gender. Following her termination, some Ghanaians expected the minister to respond to this termination.
Joy News, one of Ghanaians most reputable media houses has shared the letter of what Sarah Adwoa Sarfo sent to the president through the chief of staff.
The letter shows a reply of Adwoa Sarfo's response of her revocation as the Gender Minister. She made it clear that she appreciates what the president did for her by giving her the opportunity to serve in his government. She also added that she will now get enough time to perform her Parliamentary duties.
"Cognizant of my duties to the 75,000 constituents who elected me, this development is opportune and will afford me more time to concentrate on my parliamentary responsibilities and constituency engagements as well as consolidate the gains we have as a government at the constituency level in our quest to break the eight" she stated.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to this and below are some reactions on social media.
From the reactions above, some Ghanaians seem surprised about this letter. Others had other opinions and suggestions for Alban Bagbin who will soon declare the fate of Adwoa Sarfo as an MP.
The cause of Adwoa Sarfo's dismissal from her position as a Minister is because of her absence in her ministry. She traveled outside the country to ensure that her child is given the right medical attention in the US. A lot of Ghanaians, including members of the NPP called on the president to revoke her contract because she was absent for this reason for almost a year.
