John Dramani Mahama was born on November 29, 1958, at Damago to Emmanuel Adama Mahama and Abiba Nnaba, his father and mother respectfully. The boy from Damago, through his determination and hardwork, has gone through nearly all the ranks of the political system of the country, ranging from being and an assemblyman, Member of Parliament, a deputy minister of State, to becoming the president of the country in 2012. His calm, composed and friendly nature has drawn many followers to him. John Dramani Mahama is a role model to many people in Ghana.
The 2016 flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress is credited with the massive infrastructure development he embarked upon during his tenure as the president of the country from 2012 to 2016. The massive transformation of the Ridge Hospital, the establishment of the state of the art Legon Medical Center, the Circle Interchange, are but a few of the many edifices put up in the health, transportation, education, and industry during his reign as the head of state of the country.
