The Guineans celebrated their 63rd independence yesterday, 2nd October 2021. They would have been led by President Professor Alpha Condé if not for the coup d'etat on 5th September 2021 by the military junta in Guinea led Colonel Mamady Doumbouya. As we speak, President Alpha Condé is still under house arrest.
Colonel Mamady Doumbouya was officially sworn into office on 1st October 2021 and Guineans celebrated their independence a day after with a new President. The Guineans gain their independence from the French on 2nd October 1958 and Sékou Touré became the first president in the same year.
But in Bambeto yesterday, thousands of Guineans came from their houses to meet their new hero who save them from the hands of a dictatorship and selfish president, President Alpha Condé. When the military men arrested Alpha Condé, they came on their national television to announce that they have dissolved the constitution of the country. This is because Alpha Condé manipulated the constitution in order to stay in power for a longer period.
But new dawn was set yesterday as people came to celebrate their hero, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya. Checking the images in this article, the people burst into joy when they saw Mamady in his military convoy. Some want to touch him, others want to hug him. Mamady Doumbouya was for the first time captured smiling and showing great joy as he waves to his people.
