Mr Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chairman in Charge of Operations at the Commission, who told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in a meeting, said the Commission generally imparted information to the applicable organizations, including banks, to empower them to check the validness of the cards introduced to them as a major aspect of their transactions. 

Mr Tettey said the Voter's ID card additionally filled in as an ID card to help monetary exchanges and filling distinctive application forms. 

"As our significant partners, the Commission will communicate accordingly at the point at which the procedure is done and when the new card gets operational," he said. "When we are finished with the continuous enrollment and the new register is accumulated and legitimized by the Court, the old card gets invalid." But up to that point, Mr Tettey clarified that candidates who had effectively enlisted and gotten their cards could just utilize them to vouch for forthcoming candidates they knew as Ghanaians.

The GNA assembled that a few people had been introducing their new Voters' ID cards to organizations to execute business and became disappointed when they were told they couldn't be acknowledged at this point. 

An authority at a bank situated in the Ministries region, who argued on secrecy, revealed to GNA that a few customers had been introducing their new card as verification of their personality yet the bank didn't have the information base yet to approve their validness. 

He, consequently, prompted customers to introduce different IDs cards which could be confirmed.

Therefore, it is required to still use your old voters ID for various transactions until the new ID is approve by the court.
