The former President and flag bearer of the largest opposition party, NDC has recently sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms after he boldly revealed the best Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana since 1992.

Not long ago, the largest opposition party lost the most anticipated 2020 presidential elections to their immediate competitors, NPP which later saw the NDC lose for the second time in court after filing a petition over the 2020 general elections.

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensah unexpectedly didn’t take part in the screening process whilst claiming that, John Mahama never wanted her to testify even though most NDC supporters preferred otherwise.

With respect to this, the flag bearer of the NDC, John Mahama has boldly come out to reveal the best chairperson of Electoral Commission Ghana has ever had.

Speaking on the most anticipated Cape Coast based Fm and television station, John Mahama took the privilege to first express his disappointment in the current administration of the Electoral Commission of Ghana over the most anticipated 2020 presidential elections.

According to John Mahama, the former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Afari Gyan had to be interrogated for two full days during when the NPP lost to the largest opposition party but nothing of that sort occurred during the 2020 election petition which was not fair.

John Mahama highlighted that, the court already made their final decision during the 2020 election petition case and for that matter, he wasn’t surprised at the final outcome.

Whilst addressing the issue regarding the best EC in Ghana since 1992, John Mahama emphatically stated that, there were lots of unlawful instances that led to the unexpected victory of the incumbent government whilst adding that, the 2020 general elections was one of the worst election Ghana had ever witnessed since 1992.

”The 2020 general elections is one of the worst we’ve had since 1992”, John Mahama emphatically revealed.

Surprisingly, John Mahama revealed that, Ghanaians could testify to both the administrations of Afari Gyan and Charlotte Osei as EC bosses, but Jean Mensah’s tenure has drawn the attention of the opposition party to question the integrity of EC come 2024 presidential elections.
