Television and radio presenter for Angel Broadcasting Corporation, Nana Yaa Brefo has boldly made a statement to express her dissatisfaction in the issue of paying allowances to presidential spouses.
She boldly disagreed with the decision while she was speaking on Angel TV earlier today. According to her, the first and second ladies of the country do not hold any official positions and for this reason, they are not entitled to receive allowances from the state.
Yaa Brefo also indicated that, there are no beds in some hospitals, yet the government has decided to pay allowances to the wives of President Nana Addo and his vice, Bawumia.
She further went on to narrate how she went to a hospital and realized that there were no beds over there. Though she did not disclose the name of the hospital, she indicated that, it was a hospital in Accra.
“There are no beds in some hospitals in this country, yet you have decided to pay allowances to presidential spouses”, she boldly said.
