Former Communications Minister Dr Omane Boamah has asked the Akufo-Addo led government not to take Ghanaians for granted and think that they are unaware of happenings in the country.
He says the Ghanaian youth can feel the hardship in the country and do not need any politician to influence them before they register their disappointment in the government.
Dr Boamah said this in reaction to attempts by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to accuse the opposition National Democratic Congress for instigating the booing of President Akufo-Addo at the Global Citizens Festival held in Accra.
Members of the NPP says some Intel available to the party indicate that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) instigated the booing incident that marred the Global Festival over the weekend.
But Dr Boamah has asked them to credit the youth of Ghana with some respect as they are wide awake.
“NPP mistakenly takes many for fools; but Ghanaians are wide awake! How could NPP claim NDC orchestrated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s “away…” humiliation at the Independence Square? Ha ba!,” he said.
