Former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress,NDC, has touted former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama as a dreamer in one of his recent outbursts against the party leadership.
This according to Mr Anyidoho was as a result of how Mr Mahama who was the vice President under President Atta Mills, disrespected the late President and refused to honour him by building Asomdwe park in the memory of the late President.
According to Mr Anyidoho, article 25 of the National Democratic Congress stipulates that the National Chairman automatically becomes the leader of the Party if after a general election the party loses the election and are yet to elect a flagbearer in the next election.
This means Former President John Mahama's position as a leader in the NDC came to a halt after loosing the 2020 elections. But he seemingly carries himself around and conduct businesses in the party as a co-leader, an act that didn't go down well with Mr Anyidoho hence tagging him as a dreamer.
Mr Anyidoho was expelled from the NDC on 26th of July 2021 by a unanimous decision from the party executives due to his outbursts against Mr John Dramani Mahama which the party leaders deemed as "anti party behaviours".
If article 25 of the NDC constitution is really as Mr Anyidoho stated, then Mr John Dramani Mahama should stop moving around as the co-party leader and leave the leadership duties and party agendas in the hands of its National Chairman to run the affairs of the party into the next national executive elections.
We wish Mr Anyidoho all the best in his next endeavour after being expelled from the NDC.
