Many people including religious leaders and organizations such as the Christian council have spoken against it. As well as politicians such as Hon. Adwoa Sarfo, who is the gender minister designate has condemned activities of the LGBT.
There has also been a lot of opposition and pressure from the LGBT activists and also community members upon the government to give them their freedom.
Following the president’s speech yesterday at St. Micheal and all angels Cathedral at Mampong, where he said that, same marriage will not be legalized in Ghana.
This has generated a lot comments about his speech especially amongst the LGBT community, most of the activists have expressed their disapproval in the president’s actions towards them.
Most of them wrote on their various Twitter pages that, the president should allow them live their lives and stop violating their space since he is not going to marry for them.
Some were also of the view that, he is not serious since he said the same as to corruption.
