The Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has revealed that his party will never accept any form of campaign from Benard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
Addressing the media in NDCs Press briefing on illegal mining on Thursday, October 6, 2022, Sammy Gyamfi alleged that Chairman Wontumi said when he is arrested by his party he will campaign for the NDC.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will never accept someone like Chairman Wontumi because the party does not support people who are into illegal mining and robbery.
Sammy Gyamfi went ahead to blame chairman wontumi for the recent shoot out that went on in Asamang Tamfoe in the Eastern Region.
The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has also directed the Forestry Commission to cease the operations of Akonta Mining Company in the Tano Nimiri Forest Reserve, a company which belongs to Chairman Wontumi.
