The National Democratic Congress, NDC is apparently staying in opposition for good eight years, despite numerous efforts to come back to power. Election 2024 will therefore be a “do or die” affair for the National Democratic Congress as said by the erstwhile President, John Dramani Mahama, in their quest to lead this Country again.
Criticisms Of NDC
The National Democratic Congress, NDC has been the greatest critic of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, following the style of leadership of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his entire administration.
The criticisms of the opposition NDC have turned out to be worst in recent times, following the high rate of inflation in the country, causing instabilities in almost all sectors of the economy, but the National Democratic Congress have assured to rescue Ghanaians from such economic hardship, when they help them to win power in 2024.
Meanwhile, the NPP in series of addresses have labeled that, the ongoing economic crisis I the country stands out to be a global issue, and not happening to Ghana alone, which is all as a result of the Russia-Ukraine War, and COVID-19 which came to deplete the country’s financial strength.
For the NPP, they feel they cannot be blamed for the current economic hardships and hopes that, things will turn around to be better upon resolutions between Russia and Ukraine.
Despite the Russia-Ukraine War, some other countries are believed to be in their normal shape, thus the NDC seemingly won’t agree to the ruling NPP, for shifting blames to the Russia-Ukraine war.
NDC led by John Dramani Mahama therefore strongly believes that, the performance of the Government has caused such woes in the country. Ghanaians will therefore be disappointed if the NDC lose election 2024.
NDC’s Atta Kusi Case Study
The Constituency Secretary of the NDC, Sunyani East, Mr. Atta Kusi in a recent interview made similar admission;
“President Akufo-Addo and his government has disappointed the good people of Ghana,” saying "our research shows that Ghanaians are therefore ready to vote for the NDC to regain political power.”
Following his admission, it is clear that, Ghanaians will be disappointed if the NDC lose Election 2024 because, according to him the NDC has in stock depth plans and strategies to alleviate poverty from this country, so if NDC lose election 2024 all their dreams won’t come to reality.
