Since CHRAJ exists to investigate, on its own or on complaint by any party, all forms of human rights violations involving civil and political rights, promote, protect and enhance the fundamental human rights, freedoms and administrative justice to all the citizens in the country, it is not only demanding a response in consonance to those deaths but also those who got injured and have suffered a great deal in their health, saying some have even been amputated among others.

This message came about after North Tongu MP, Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa and Ellembele MP, Hon Armah-Kofi Buah petitioned the commission to investigate the excesses of last year's elections where most civilians suffered several attacks from soldiers most especially in Techiman South, Odododiodio, Ablekuma Central and the Savelugu constituencies.
