One person who has taken undue advantage of the freedom of speech as permitted by the constitution, as well as misusing social media to go to the extent of insulting authorities in the country is Twene Jonas.
After openly insulting the president of the republic, president Akufo Addo, the Asantehene and other big men of God, the U.S based Ghanaian youth just recently turned his impudent behavior towards the National chief imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu, by raining insults on the honorable old man. Sadly, his attack on the chief imam was as a result of his generous act of donating an amount of Ghc 50,000 towards the building of the proposed national cathedral.
The freedom fighter activist couldn't hold his anger as he quickly came and rained insults on the chief imam in a live video. He described the act to be an act of stupidity while there are young people suffering in the various Zongo Communities.
Definitely, it was clearly written on the wall that our brothers from the Muslim community will come out to react on this, and lo and behold one Alhaji Mumin Sadiq, a host of a Muslim political talk show 'Al Sira' on Net 2 TV has angrily warned to deal with Twene Jonas for openly insulting the Chief Imam.
Speaking live on the said program this evening, the angry Muslim host was quick enough to give a stern warning to the American based Ghanaian and threatened to deal with him for disrespecting their leader. "Somebody should tell that Twene Jonas guy that he can insult the Asantehene, the president and pastors without facing any consequences, but he can't insult our chief imam and go Scot free. He shouldn't think he is staying abroad so he is above repercussions. We the Muslims are ready to deal with him". He angrily threatened.
Do you think it's high time Twene Jonas be brought to order by authorities of this country?
