When a fish is about rot, it starts from the head - Alhassan Suhuyini speaks figuratively

The Member of Parliament for Tamale, North Alhassan Suhuyini has claimed that when a fish is about to rot, it starts from the head. He made this figurative expression on GHOne Television this morning, Tuesday 11th May, 2021.

The lawmaker believes that the number of challenges facing this country is a result of bad leadership. "when I wanted to get into politics, I decided to choose a political party would tolerate criticism. We must ensure that we hold our leaders to the fire of Accountability. This current administration does not want to be criticised", he reiterated.

Honourable Suhuyini believes that the leaders of this country should be aspiring to give tickets (punish) people who jump traffic lights. "Anytime you want someone to do better, you should position yourself to do the right".

"We have taken too long to act. It took about six years for OCCUPY GHANA to voice out. It has now taken another six for Fixthecountry campaigners to emerge". He said.

The member of Parliament for Sisala East, Honourable Issahaku reacted and said, "it is obvious that people are facing some challenges. It is a genuine call for Government to fix the country. However, people are taking undue advantage of the situation and politicising it".

He added that any time the New Patriotic Party is in power, they put basic measures in place to make sure we (Ghana) develop.
