On the 29th March ,2022, in the early's of the day, Parliament gathered it's members on the case of E levy saga and nation's current state. Meanwhile , with Minority and Majority concerns raised, one member in the Minority group made his seat vacant.
Honourable James Gyakye Quayson, He is the MP for the Assin North Constituency. Mr. James Gyakye hails from the Assin Bereku . He is a political member of the National Democratic party. He was born on Thursday, 9th October, 1952 and a Christian denominant.
Mr. James graduated in one renowed tertiary institution with a Degree in Social Sciences on 1996. High School Diploma, General Education - 1969. Pursued to Masters of Urban Planning and Community Development in 2015. He had worked as a social service agent in 2020.
Till date , Parliament hasn't received any assurance as to whether Hon. James Gyakye Quayson would return Parliament any time soon or any reason for his absence.
Meanwhile issues are raised as to why Members in Parliament before the E-levy was passed were 274 out of 275 practitioners.
