Captain Smart makes wild expose on the electricity tariff increment. Captain Smart appeared very furious and couldn’t fathom why. There is no light but they keep increasing the bills.
He started by giving the history of Ghana’s Dumsor and how over the years, leaders have contributed to expanding the debt in that sector. Captain Smart narrated how the late Jerry John Rawlings experienced Dumsor at his presidential villa even after bringing experts from abroad to help kill the menace.
The same issue was repeated during the time of former President -John Agyekum Kufuor. The former president was having a large meeting and by the time he was done with his speech, the light went off. He got very gloomy and pledged to mitigate if not solve the challenge.
After several attempts, former President Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama had to suffer for failing to bring a total halt to the obstacle. John Mahama suffered the most as he was voted out of power the excessive degree of Dumsor.
But the first term of President Nana Addo was full of free flow of light until the second term that is marred by the frequent intermittent power outages.
However, according to Captian Smart, Ghanaians should know that there is electricity bills increment. Stay aware.
