Col Assimi Goita who happens to be the interim president of Mali had a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin who is also the Russians President
According to the report from Col Assimi Goita's Twitter post, he said the phone conversation was all about the support that the Russian Federation has rendered for Mali's political transition and, Goita also praised the quality of their partnership and also the respect for Mali's sovereignty
Latest on Tuesday, mali's air force disclosed numerous aircraft supplied by Russia during a ceremony presided by the Malian President at Bamako International airport.
The Soviet-era warplanes are the latest batch of military deliveries from Moscow under close ties forged between Russia and Mali since the Sahel state suffered a coup in August 2020.
Mali had a closed relationship with Russia after pulling themselves out of France which is opposed to the presence of Wagner mercenaries in the Shel country.
That was the conversation between the two.
