The out-going Member of Parliament for Ledzorkuku constituency, Dr Bernard Oko-Boye has claimed that the National Democratic Congress is showing incompetence in opposition and that can cause this nation greatly. He made this claim on TV3 this morning (16th December, 2020) on a programme dubbed Newday.
The law maker was responding to calls by the National Democratic and their Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama for an independent forensic audit of the 2020 presidential election results. Dr Oko-Boye said that the National Democratic Congress is showing incompetence in opposition as they did when they were in government. He questioned why the leading opposition party cannot collate all their pink sheet to determine whether they have won the election or not but rather resorting to an independent audit.
He said, " the NDC is showing incompetence in opposition. Do not audit pink sheet with bias. Do not start with I have won. Compile the pink sheets yourself. Incompetence in opposition can cause this country".
Dr Oko-Boye further revealed that New Patriotic Party paid people to work on the pink sheets in the lead up to the 2012 election petition even though they were in opposition then.
