The report on the 2020 elections by the European Union Election Observatory Mission to Ghana is receiving mixed reviews from some political commentators and media houses. According to the Report, the elections was effectively organized, competitive and successfully met a range of internationally requirements. The National Democratic Congress has however debunked the contents of the Report.
Today, Thursday, April 15, 2021 on Citi TV’s ‘Breakfast Daily’, Sam George, MP for Ningo Prampram also disagreed with the findings of the report. He noted that he did not know the methodology used to make the report. The host then reminded him that there have been other institutions that have also maintained that the elections were free and fair.
According to the host, reputable institutions like the Atta Mill Institute had all asserted that the elections were fair. “Oh don’t mind him. We all know him now. He is now a puppet of the NPP. That is why he was sacked. Anyidoho now speaks against the party” Sam George fired.
Collins Adomako, MP for Afigya Kwabre also insisted that the report had presented a great report and this was clear for all to see that President Akufo-Addo won the elections on a free and fair slate. It can be recalled that Koku Anyidoho, a former firebrand of the NDC had to be suspended for some comments. He heads the Atta Mills Institute and has chosen to remain nonpartisan.
