According to him, the Action of Onua TV is a calculated attempt to discredit President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo's Government. And that any attempt to do so will be tackled by all legitimate means.
He is also requesting a retraction of publication by Captain Smart and his Onua TV media outlet. Speaking on the issue, Honorable Kennedy Nyarko Osei was unhappy about how Onua TV and Captain published a viral fake news to denigrate Government and the Agric Ministry.
He explained that Onua TV and Captain Smart published a news item about deplorable cocoa roads in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Few minutes after the publication, they pinned the photo on the Onua TV official page with the inscription ;
" Kojokrom drivers protest over bad and deplorable roads".
According to the NPP stalwart, the pictures attached to the story was unrelated and fake. To him, the pictures were taken from a Nigerian website.
" I don't know why they want to paint Government black with fake Nigeria old pictures" Honorable Kennedy Nyarko Osei said.
He was however quick to add that, In as much as Ghanaian roads are not 100%, he wants Onua TV and Captain Smart to be factual and responsible in their reportage.
