Some drivers plying the Wa-Hamile stretch, are calling on City Authorities to install a Toll Booth on the said road.
Expressing reasons for the need, the drivers noted, that the number of vehicles that ply the Wa-Hamile road a day, are countless and government can increase its revenue through such initiatives for rehabilitation work on the road.
Touching on the challenges they encounter plying the said route, another driver by name Ganiu Zack, cited pothole and dust on the road. He laments that passengers are losing their lives due the bad nature of the road.
The used the Opportunity to call on the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bun Salih and the Former Deputy Roads and High ways Minister, Hon. Anthony Nyo Afayifaa Karbo to assist in getting their concerns channeled to the right Authorities in order to provide the tollbooth.
Tollbooths in Ghana Numbering 36 generate over Ghc1 Million a day and the oldest toll booth close to Upper West Region is the Sawla Tollbooth which served Wa when Wa Was Under Upper Region.
