I'm ready to face Privileges Committee — Kennedy Agyapong Jabs

The Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, has expressed that he is prepared to confront the Privileges Committee of Parliament for absenting himself from the House.

As per him, he has proof of clinical reports to defend himself when shows up before the Committee.

 His responses come after the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, pulled him [Kennedy Agyapong], and the MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, as well as the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey to the Privileges Committee.

Adwoa Safo and Kennedy Agyapong have absented themselves from Parliament for some time and Henry Quartey additionally absented himself for over 15 days without authorization.

 Kennedy Agyapong talking on the advancement on Accra-based Happy FM, said "I should return to America for audit on the 27th of January, on account of E-Levy and Ghana First, I have forfeited it and I am here."

The dissident MP said "I have perused the law it influences an individual who has absented themselves from Parliament for fifteen straight days. Not the quantity of non-attendance across a term. Provided that this is true, a great deal of MPs will be sacked.

"I'm not stressed, you know how any individual who remains by the fact of the matter is aggrieved by the framework? Thus, I am not stressed, let them welcome me, I will regard them and go there as needs be and give them evidence," he added.
