Since the recent Coup in Guinea, many Ghanaians have been wondering what the fate of Ghana will be in the near future. Though many Ghanaians believe, that Ghana is a peaceful country… and will remain peaceful…others also hold the view, that the situation in the country needs strong intervention.
Reacting to the current situation in the country, Dr. David Pessy, a student in History and politics has revealed that, the president of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo is too smart to change the constitution of the country, to enable him go for a third-term in office, as happened in Guinea.
Speaking on Pan African TV’s Weekend program, ‘Alhaji and Alhaji’ on Saturday October 16 2021, Dr. Pessy said; “…like in the Guinean situation, where the president (Alpha Conde), was not particularly clever; he changed the constitution; our president (Nana Addo) is not going to change the constitution for a third term…he is too far from that”.
Dr. Pessy, in his views has hinted, that though the Ghanaian president (Nana Addo)will not change the constitution to enable him run for a third term, he is going to use the constitution, to make sure that, conditions are created, that could help him continue another term.
What do you think of Dr. Pessy’s views?
