African leaders have congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron on his re-election following a landslide victory over rival Marine Le Pen. He won by 58.55% to 41.45%, a greater margin than expected.
Senegal's President who is currently the chairman of the A.U sends his congratulatory messages "I warmly congratulate President Emmanuel Macron on his victory in the presidential election and send him my best wishes for success in the exercise of his second mandate".
Ethiopia's Prime Minister also sends his congratulatory message "Congratulations to my good friend President Emmanuel Macron on your successful and historical reelection. I look forward to the continued strengthened relations between our two countries."
Rwanda's President hailed his best wishes as well "Congratulations on your well-deserved re-election President Emmanuel Macron. This is a testament to your visionary leadership that seeks to unite and not divide. Rwanda looks forward to even more and stronger partnerships between our people and nations."
