The Amount Of Money In Martin Amidu’s Account Will Marvel Everyone – Popular Lawyer Alleges

A popular legal practitioner in Ghana has boldly exposed special prosecutor, Mr. Martin Amidu by daring him to declare the amount of money sitting in his account.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikesia on the Okay FM Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Lawyer Yaw Boaben Asamoah indicated the budgetary allocation government has made to the official account of Mr. Martin Amidu’s Office, is huge than any other Ministry in Ghana.

According to him, Mr. Martin Amidu cannot deny to Ghanaians that government has been starving him with financial resources to aid his work. The Adenta law maker, Lawyer Yaw Boaben Asamoah further disclosed that Martin Amidu was never blocked form performing his duties by the President, as he is making Ghanaians to believe.

“Martin Amidu and his office are not the final decision-making entity in this country. He says government has not been giving him money to run his office. Call him right now and ask how much is sitting in his bank accounts as a special prosecutor. You will be marveled.

The money in Martin Amidu’s account is even bigger than a lot of Ministries in the country. He has no excuse to tell us he lacks financial resources. I’m just shocked at Martin Amidu’s decision to quit”. Lawyer Yaw Boaben Asamoah indicated.

Lawyer Yaw Boaben Asamoah who is also the National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) further added that, Martin Amidu does not need the consent of the President before he can send anyone to court.

“If Martin Amidu was not in agreement with President, he has all the resources in his office to prosecute whoever he thinks is guilty. So why do you need the consent of the President to do this.

You decided to ask for the opinion of the President, but if you think his opinion is not the best for you, the courts are opened to seek all the redress you want. This is very painful. Nobody wronged Martin Amidu. We don’t know what is wrong with him, and why he left the position.” Lawyer Yaw Boabeng Asamoah added.
