If Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremateng, popularly known as Alan cash, joins forces and campaign together with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, it is surely going to be a landslide victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general election.
Thankfully, Ghanaians have given Nana Addo the second nod into office as the President of the Republic of Ghana. Hence, it gives an indication that the NPP will definitely have to present someone else to contest for the Presidency on behalf of the party.
Indeed, recently there has been several developments about who, possibly, the NPP will be presenting to contest on behalf of the party as a presidential candidate after Nana Addo completes his 2nd term in office.
Some people have suggested Alan Cash, others Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, as well as, John Peter Amewu.
However, even though there are some NPP faithfuls, who are of the view that hierarchy must be followed, and for that matter it is the turn of Alan Cash to lead the party to contest as a presidential candidate in the 2024 general election, I suppose Alan should give way for Buwamia to lead the NPP and campaign together with him in the upcoming 2024 elections.
In fact, if Alan manages to do this for the love of the party, the NPP is, once again, just like it happened in 2016, going to win by a landslide victory. This is because, even though Alan was, in the past, much popular in the NPP and to Ghanaians; Dr. Bawumia, since he became president has built his own popularity, probably, much more than Alan Cash.
Moreover, Dr. Bawumia was very instrumental in NPP's victory in the 2020 general elections. We all witnessed what was termed as 'the Bawumia factor' in the northern regions of Ghana as the NPP, owing to Bawumia's effort, made much gains in the northern regions.
Hence, to maintain power and break the seemingly '8 year in office curse'; since the begining of the 4th republic, Alan Cash should throw his support behind Dr. Bawumia and campaign together with him. When it happens like that, the NPP will be more united and they will surely conquer and emerge victorious over any opponent the NDC presents for the 2024 general elections.
