NDC Council Of Elders Send Strong Message To Settle Impasse Between NDC MPs and Party Leadership.

There is an internal feud brewing in the NDC especially after some NDC MPs voted and approved 3 ministers who were initially rejected by the NDC side of the Appointments Committee. In a sharp response, Sammy Gyamfi lambasted the MPs and the Speaker of Parliament for betraying their own party.

According to some leaders of the party it was apparent some MPs had betrayed the party and bent on destroying it. This has created some tensions between the NDC MPs and some leaders of the party. However, in a communique today, signed by the Chairman of the Council Of Elders, Mahama Iddrisu, a message of reconciliation was sent to both sides.

The Council acknowledged that indeed the ideals of the party were betrayed when the MPs were passed. They however called for peace between the feuding parties. They wanted things resolved so that the MPs will remain calm so they hold the Akufo-Addo government strictly to the principles of Probity and Accountability.

According to OB, host of Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ who shared the information this afternoon, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 the letter is to mend all the differences within the party.

“The council remains confident that the party will emerge from this challenges more united and focused and take on the government as the NDC strives in pursuit for an inclusive government” the communique read.

Will this be enough to settle the impasse and restore peace? Can the NDC rise from this wrangling and pose a threat to the ruling NPP?
