The vetting of minister designates for the second term of president Akufo-Addo began yesterday. Yesterday saw interesting vetting sessions as the minister designates for Health and National security were vetted. Both Kweku Agyeman Manu and Kan Dapaah were taken through grilling vetting sessions.
Today, Thursday, February 11, 2021 on ‘GHtoday’ on GHOne TV, Stephen Amoah, the MP for Nhyiaeso clashed with host Lantam Papanko, host of the newspaper review session. Today saw Kofi Adams, MP for Buem and Stephen Amoah being guest on the show. They joined the host to discuss the vetting process.
However, Hon. Stephen Amoah, who came in late kept on insisting that he was being given less time to share his thoughts. He maintained that the 88 hospitals promised by the president was in progress. The host tried to tell him that yesterday the health minister designate had said the project was yet to start.
Hon. Stephen Amoah however insisted that was not the case. He was of the view that the Akufo-Addo government had done quite well in health than the erstwhile John Mahama governemt. He noted that the Mahama government if confronted with Coronavirus would have crumpled. As Kofi Adams and the host tried to make some corrections, he fumed.
“Why do you keep disrupting me. I won’t talk again. Take your programme” he said.
Does the Health Minister deserve a second term? How has the Akufo-Addo led government fared with Coronavirus? Share your thoughts.
