Take The Party From The Akyem Mafias:The Conference Would Lead The NPP To Opposition-Abraham Amaliba

The Head of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress, Lawyer Abraham Amaliba has reiterated that the New Patriotic Party has become unattractive and that the upcoming conference of the Party would lead it to opposition on 2024.

Mr Amaliba made this pronouncements when he joined as a panel member for discussions on the “Newday” show on TV3 today, December 17, 2021.

The New Patriotic Party is set to embark on its annual delegates conference this weekend. The conference is expected to last for three days beginning from December 18, 2021, with leadership and all members of the party expected to be in attendance barring any last minute changes.

Speaking on the subject matter, Mr Amaliba indicated that the New Patriotic Party has become very unattractive as a result of the poor governance they have exhibited. He alleged that this government has been one of the worst under the 4th Republican dispensation.

”I think the NPP is going for a conference that would lead them to opposition. So it is a down slide movement back to opposition but I wish them the best. They need to go back to opposition and restructure the party and take it away from the Akyem mafias who are making the party unattractive. If that is what the party is going back to opposition would do, then I wish them nothing but the best” he said.

He was of the view that the current government has so far performed abysmal and deepened the woes of Ghanaians as against the promises in 2016 when the NPP was in opposition.

Meanwhile, the party has issued a ban on the display of all campaign placards and banners ahead of the all-important 3-day conference in the Ashanti region.
