During an interview at Cape 93.3 FM in Cape Coast, former president John Dramani Mahama dismissed the allegation of owning multiple bank accounts abroad. He added that he operates only three banks and they are all local banks.
He said, "I don't have any foreign account anywhere. I have three bank accounts, Agriculture Development Bank, Zenith Bank and Guaranteed Trust Bank. If you want to investigate me, investigate those banks, all my money is there".
He added that, "you made so much noise and now you have all gone quiet. You have all been cowed, you can't talk. There were all kinds of propaganda against me when I was president. They said Lordina and I have stolen100 million United States Dollars into our Swiss account. How would you get access to that kind of money? World bank money doesn't come to the ministry of finance. It's with Bank of Ghana, how do I go to them and ask for such money and transfer to a Swiss account.
What are your thoughts on former president's claims that the media is being soft on the current president but was very hard during his time.
