President Akufo-Addo Is Likely To Go For A Third Term

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is serving his 2nd term in office as the President, which happens to be his last term.

Nana Akufo-Addo alongside the Chairman of ECOWAS has exhausted two terms already, but likely to go for a third term as the ECOWAS chairman.

The sanctions of the three francophone countries, Mail, Guinea and Burkina Faso, who were due for the position of the ECOWAS Chairmanship happens to be the reason why the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is likely to go for a third term.

It is believed that, the ban placed on the three countries by ECOWAS is due to coup detat noise that came up in recent times and thus, these leaders were not able to show up at meetings and avail themselves for the position.

According to their constitutionally, the sitting Chairman who happens to be President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is has the mandate to take care of the position until a verdict is pronounced on the suspended countries.

This happens to be the reason why President Akufo-Addo Is Likely To Go For A Third Term.
