NPP Mourns With NDC In Northern Region

Leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region have suspended party activities to mourn with their political opponent the National Democratic Congress (NDC on the sudden demise of its Chairman.

The NDC’s Northern Regional Chairman, Alhaji Abdulai Ibrahim Mobila passed on Tuesday at the Intensive Care Unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

As a way of solidarity, the NPP has directed its members in the region to halt all forms of political engagement on Radio and TV.

“As a result of this unfortunate and sad event, the NPP regional Communications Directorate has directed its members to break from all forms of Radio/TV political discussions from tomorrow 17th/08/2022 to 19th/08/2022. 

“This is done in solidarity with the family and NDC as a party for this irreplaceable loss”, a statement signed by Sayibu Yussif Danjumah, the Regional Communications Director, said.

The almost 90-year-old NDC Regional Chairman was also the Chief of Tugu Yapalsi, a farming community on the Tamale-Yendi road.

He has since been buried in accordance with the Islamic custom
