Kelvin Taylor, a Ghanaian investigative broadcaster and self acclaimed anti-corruption campaigner has boldy dropped a strong warning to the NDC over the behaviour of certain gurus in the party. Kelvin Taylor has expressed his worry about the path taken by Minority leader Honourable Haruna Iddrisu and Asawase MP, Muntaka Mubarak.
According to the broadcaster, the two leaders in parliament have been paying lip service to the party because they have failed to kept an eye on the government's operations in the chamber. He indicated that, Haruna Iddrisu promised his party that the NDC Caucus would keep constant check on the NPP to ensure accountability on pary of the government but has failed to deliver his own words.
Speaking on the extended episode of With All Due Respect Show last night, Kelvin Ekow Taylor registered his disappointment in the leadership in parliament. His statement covered the fact that the conduct of these two leaders and their incompetence shown in the past few months predict a defeat for NDC in the next election. He has therefore called on the party leadership to save the future of the party by dealing with Haruna and Muntaka.
He said, "I have personally observed what is happening in parliament and I get confused whether Haruna Iddrisu could ever do that. What happened to all his assurances he gave to NDC supporters? He seems to be working for the government now. Muntaka also has proved that he is incompetent to make good impact in the House. It is so sad, but they have all been silenced. I am fed up, I will not talk about NDC again."
Obviously, the opposition National Democratic Congress seems to be making good preparations towards the 2024 agenda to seize power from the current government. The party has suffered two big defeats at the hands of the NPP both in 2016 and 2020, and cannot afford to lose for the third time. NDC's desire to win back power was evident in Mahama's recent statement that caused massive uproar among Ghanaians.
