24 Hours To Announce Elections' Results Is Not Realistic- Afriyie Ankrah

The Electoral Commission (EC), has announce a 24 hours targeted time to announce the December 7 general elections.

The Electoral Commission said, they will be announcing the December 7 general elections within 24 hours after the elections.

The National Democratic Congress NDC questions the bases that the Electoral Commission is Standing on to declare their intention to announce the elections result with the 24 hours.

The NDC is asking how come the Electoral Commission is giving themselves a time period to declare the elections results.

The National Democratic Congress NDC Director of Elections', Elvis Afriyie Ankrah said, it's not realistic to give yourself a timeline to declare election results since, an election comes with a lot of controversies.

He said the issues surranding elections' in Ghana will make it impossible for the Electoral Commission to give a timeline in declaring the elections results.

The NDC said, the truck record of this Electoral Commission alone disqualify them from given a timeline concerning declaring this year elections results. He said looking at how the Electoral Commission conducted the New Voter Register Registration process they can't be trusted in deliver in appointed time.

Mr. Elvis said the first time that, the Electoral Commission recorded a lot of duplicate voter ID number, Duplicate names, and other irregularities during a registration exercise.

He said this when he was called in by Adom fm Dwaso Nsem morning show host to clarify issues concerning the 24 hours declaration by the EC.
