The MCE of Sunyani has made a very controversial statement that has got a lot of people talking.The MCE who doubles as the Bono regional minister designate made those assertions at a stake holder meeting.
The meeting was organized to put inplace the necessary measures to ensure the spread of the covid is curtailed in the municipality and the entire region as a whole.
Madam Justina Owusu Banahene stated emphatically in her statement that, school children who are caught not wearing the mask will be arrested and their parents will bear the consequences.
According to madam Justina Owusu Banahene,her outfit will ensure all schools with more population are made to run a shift system in order to ensure pupils do not get overcrowded in their classrooms.
She said the government in its quest to ensure the safety of both teachers and pupils has supplied Veronica buckets and liquids soaps to all the schools to ensure the kids stay hygienic at all times.
She further stated that,her outfit has ensured the adequate supply of all the needed PPEs to all schools.
She added that,she has constituted a regional covid taskforce made up of the military, immigration and the fire service to ensure all indigenes adhere to the safety protocols.
Her outfit has also put in place measures to ensure the markets places remain decongested in order to facilitate the fight against the spread of the covid.
She was particularlly thankful to the Sunyani hene and his people for their support in the fight.
She lastly called on all the people of the country to contribute their quota in the fight against the covid as government alone cannot shoulder all the responsibilities.
