After the minister for food and agriculture, Hon Afriyie Osei Akoto stated that food prices are dropping, Ghanaians reacted and said they are in shock about what the minister said and stated that they are very surprised to hear agric minister lying to them and mocked him.
People believe that food prices kept rising every year since NPP came into power but government always claimed that food prices is coming down which keeps them wondering as to either their leaders care for them or not. The price for a bag of maize, rice, beans, ground, okra, pepper, onion and garden eggs keep rising every months. What shocked a lot of people today is that minister for agric stated that plantain that sells at Ghc 40 is now selling at Ghc 4 but traders dispute what he said and called him a liar.
Food prices has risen over the last 12 months and people believe that there is 100% increment on food prices and Ghanaians doubt agric minister who is willing to become president come 2024 if he is elected to lead the New Patriotic Party.
"It’s hard to choose between this Agric Minister and the Road Minister" Kevin Taylor stated when he shared the news with Ghanaians who were surprised to see agric minister lying to save his party.
