I am a clean honest politician Hon Asiamah is doing well in the sports sector - Yamoah Ponko

Former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the municipality of Ejisu Juaben, Afrifa Yamoah Ponko has commended Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah for his excellent performance as a state minister.

The former NDC MCE praised the Sports Minister for the infrastructural projects being undertaken during the time as the Government is building 10 multi-purpose youth centres across the country.

Speaking at Wamputu Sports on Happy FM, Afrifa Yamoah Ponko has shown a great deal of respect for the Minister of Sports, claiming that he has done very well in the sports sector.

“To be honest, the greater part of the NDC manifesto has been done by the NPP. I salute Isaac Asiamah because he has done marvellously well but it is not true that they’ve done everything in the sports sector. The construction of sports facilities is a good move which will help develop sports”, Ponkoh told Odiasempa Kwame Owari.

He stressed that while the NPP has done well so far, if given the nod by the majority of Ghanaians, the NDC will do better.

"The NPP is doing well, but the NDC will do better when the mandate is issued. I am a clean, honest politician. Hon Asiamah is doing well in the sports sector.

The former MCE was blame among those who contributed to the defeat of the party in the 2016 elections.
