Flagbearer of the Oposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama will from tomorrow begin a 4 day tour of the central region.
In a press statement signed by the Central Regional Communication Officer Hon. Kwesi Dawood, the Flagbearer will visit constituencies such as Gomoa East, Agona West, Gomoa Central, KEEA, Assin North, Assin Central, Upper Denkyira East and West Constituencies.
He is also expected to visit to visit the family of the late Mfantseman MP and commiserate with the family."
"This visit which comes on the heels of the Running Mate’s recent Tour of our Region where her message was warmly received, will see the incoming President pay courtesy calls on some Traditional Authorities, Religious Leaders, Zongo Communities and some settler communities as well as to interact with the rank and file of the NDC and the citizenry in our Region. While in the Region, the Flagbearer will highlight provisions of the NDC’s manifesto, dubbed “People’s Manifesto: Jobs and Prosperity for All,” will engage fishermen, fishmongers, canoe owners, market women, hawkers, commercial drivers, small scale miners, identifiable groups and to interact with some communities and canvass support for himself and the party’s Parliamentary Candidates in the upcoming general elections", it read.
The former President will also meet with chief and opinion leaders of the region as well as party members and sympathizers to highlight some important messages captured in the NDC's manifesto.
He is also scheduled to have a media engagement on Elmina Based Benya Fm in the central region.
He is expected to return to Accra on Sunday, 17th October, 2020.
