Napo threatens to sue Herald Newspaper over alleged $3 million story

Minister for Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Manhyea South constituency has denied ever giving an amount of $3 million to the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II as alleged in the Monday, April 25, 2022 edition of the Herald Newspaper.

Subsequently, the MP who is popularly called"Napo" has caused his lawyers to write to the Herald Newspaper. He has threatened to take legal actions against the paper if it does not halt the publicatios which he claimed are intended to tarnish his image.

"Take notice and notice is hereby served, that we have the firm instructions of our client to institute legal proceedings against you, if we seen same necessary without recourse to you, should you fail to retract the said publication and desist from publishing further untruthful contens about our client," the letter stated.
