Most families in Ghana are blessed and also have been very fortunate. It is the dream of most father's and mother's to see their children prosper in life and become bigger than they were.
In Ghana, there is only one couple whose son became the President of Ghana, the vice president of Ghana, a minister of state and a member of Parliament in Ghana.
Emmanuel Adama Mahama and Abiba Mahama are the only couple in Ghana whose son had all these positions.
Emmanuel Adama Mahama was an educator and rice farmer, he was the first Minister of State for the Northern Region under the Nkrumah government. He also served as a senior presidential adviser during Ghana's Third Republic under Hilla Limann. He was also the first MP for the West Gonja constituency.
Abiba Nnaba on the other hand had a very good influence in the family and together with with Emmanuel Adama Mahama gave birth to John Dramani Mahama.
John Mahama was a president of Ghana from 24th July 2012 to 7th January, 2017. He was also a vice president from 2009 to 2012 under the term of John Evans Fiifi Attack Mills. Mahama was also a member of Parliament from 1997 to 2004 in Bole Bamboo Constituency, and the Minister of Communications from 1998 to 2001.
